why in the hell would you use MDB for anything?
use Access Data Projects; simple data-bound forms and reports.

it's 100 times easier / simpler than your unbound / sql passthrough

SQL Server is _QUITE_ easy for performance tuning.. most MDB idiots
don't know anything about indexing; I would reccomend blindly always
moving everything to sql server and then running the 'Database Tuning
Advisor'

I refuse to use IBM crap for a bunch of reasons-- Mainly that I don't
want to have to run out and buy 3rd party drivers for each of my
desktops.

Do I still need to run out and buy Attachmate drivers to get decent
performance out of DB2?
