Why does the archive folder disappear from outlook 2000?

I have a client, about 40 win2k desktops, win2k server running exchange 2000,
they are running office 2000. They recently archived email and now from time
to time they archive folder disappears from outlook, so they have to get it
back, but its a pain. Anyone know why the archive folder keeps disappearing?

Is the Archive PST on a local or a network drive?

It is located on the local drive. I am going to be moving them to the server
at some point soon, but for now they are on the local drive.

Just keep in mind that Microsoft does not support PSTs hosted on network
drives.

As to why the archive disappears from the Folders List, I regret I cannot
say.
