Hi, Amish. In Word, click on File | Page Setup | Layout | Vertical
alignment: Top | OK.

Also, check that you haven't enabled click and type. This inserts lots of
returns and/or tabs into your document so that you can type where you clicked
the cursor.
Tools > Options > Edit and untick Enable click and type.

Hi, Amish. Sorry, I thought you only had this problem in one document. If
you have this problem in all documents, then click on File | Page Setup |
Layout | Vertical alignment: Top | Default | OK.
