why does word 2007 type wrong letters

I tried finishing a letter that was saved. When I type, the wrong letter
appears when typing corresponding letter on keyboard, (I.E. "H" appears as
"D", etc.)

It would be useful to know some other key swaps too to assist with the
diagnosis and if any of the keys are correct too.

Without more information, here are some areas to check:

Keyboard language setting (Windows, Control Panel)
Office Language setting (Microsoft Office Tools, Microsoft Office 2007
Language Settings)
Programmable Keyboard remapped?

'H' appearing as 'D' is an unusual mapping but could occur if you have your
keyboard being interpreted as a Dvorak layout I think.

If this happens in all applications, make sure that your keyboard is
correctly identified and set up under Control Panel > Regional Options.

If this only happens in Office applications, see if you have any rogue
AutoCorrects set up (Tools > AutoCorrect Options in most apps).
