Why does word freeze everytime I copy something into it?

Everytime I copy something into word from Internet Explorer or from a PDF
file word has to close down. Why is this?

I didn't know you could copy a pdf into a word document.

I just mean selecting the text in the document and copying it into word

Matt, my understanding of PDFs is they are deisnged so you CANT copy from
them - maybe this is why you are having problems
