Why doesn't "change all" in spell check work?

Well, I've decided to revisit Spell Catcher (3rd time), and I think
I've now got it worked out. Cross fingers. Crashed once, so I lost an
entire long session, and it forces me to begin at the beginning for
every session, but even so, it seems to do what I'm looking for.
