Why doesn't my macro perform the action I recorded?

I recorded a macro while I performed a global replace, replacing all Arial
type with another typeface. The replacement worked fine, but when I try to
repeat it using the macro it created, nothing happens. Looking at the macro,
I can see that it did not record the typ names. However, when I perform
exactly the same action for other typefaces, it works fine.

do you mean, concerning typefaces that are not arial,
the recorder recorded the name of the font?

Never seen this.

Example for searching and replacing fonts:

With Selection.Find
.Text = ""
.Font.Name = "Trebuchet MS"
.Replacement.Text = ""
.Replacement.Font.Name = "Arial Black"
....
