Why doesnt my new computer have Microsoft Word?

A Desperatly Confused College Girl

I recently bought a new Windows XP from Wal-Mart. It seems to work fine, but
I dont have Microsoft Word, Power Point, or Exel. I only hane Microsoft
Works! Will someone please tell me what's wrong with my computer, or what I
have to do to get Microsoft Word because I am in college. I have a lot of
papers due, and their piling up! Signed,

I believe you need to buy the "Microsoft Office" program to get Word, Excel,
Access, Power Point, etc.
