why dont people see their task on the project web access

I am new to Project, and have set my project to publish and update after ever
save. I see the message that the 'Publish information is sent for
processing' but then when my team logs in, they doon't see their assigned
tasks. I know I am missing something simple, but I don't know what it is.
Any help would be appreciated.

Hi,

Did you build your team from enterprise using Tools > Bould team from
enterprise..
If you add resources as local, they may not be able to see their tasks.

I did that, I also changed their booking from Prosed to Committed, but still
no go.
