Why FrontPage tries to remove files/directories?

I have a small problem when i try to publish my website. I have changed a few
files on the site then I try to upload them to the server and FP updates them
ok but then it also tries to remove the following directories!

04 April 2005 08:08:12 Failed to delete folder "_vti_txt".
04 April 2005 08:08:12 Failed to delete folder "_vti_log".
04 April 2005 08:08:12 Failed to delete folder "_vti_bin/_vti_aut".
04 April 2005 08:08:12 Failed to delete folder "_vti_bin/_vti_aut".
04 April 2005 08:08:12 Failed to delete folder "_vti_bin/_vti_adm".
04 April 2005 08:08:12 Failed to delete folder "_vti_bin/_vti_adm".
04 April 2005 08:08:12 Failed to delete folder "_vti_bin".

I click "No to ALL" when asked about removing files! But still FP tries to
remove them!
Does anyone know what to do?
Alos, is there a setting to make sure FP does not try or even asks to remove
any files?
I am using FP 2002
Cheers

Are you publishing to a server that has the FP extensions via FP's http mode?

FP should never prompt you to remove any _vti folders when publishing to a server that has the FP
extensions via http mode.

How are you change files locally, via FP, I hope?

A few weeks ago I accedently deleted all files on the server via FTP! The
ISP then reinstalled FP completely and I published a new website using FP and
i have been having this problem since.
I change and publish using FP only.
I don't know how to check "Are you publishing to a server that has the FP
extensions via FP's http mode?"
Also, the new website was a subweb of the old site while i was testing it -
don't know if that has anything to do with it.

Your host server either supports the FP Server Extensions or they don't

To find out see
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;828909

If the do see
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;825528&Product=fp2003
If they don't see
