Why has my file sort structure changed from office 2000? I need f.

Office 2003 is sorting files by looking at the 2nd number or letter. eg.
84E9301 is before 100-6577. Why is this? The file sorting was different with
office 2000.

Are you quite positive that there is no space in front of the "8"? A space,
in a proportionally-spaced font, can be difficult to distinguish.
