why is all my text highlighting when i click on my page

im trying type but every time i click sumwhere on a page lots of unusuall
highliting is happening help me please

It would indicate that page is locked for editing. Does it do this for all
documents? If so, have you activated your products or is it a trial version
that has time expired?
