Why is database saved to CD available only as 'read only' file?

I have a 12 MB database that I am working on at home and work. When I save
it to a CD-RW disk at work I can copy to my home computer desktop and work
and resave. When I save the same file at home to the same disk I can't take
to work and save to desktop and work on it there. It says I have read-only
access and the options 'save' or 'save as' are not available. What can I do
to fix this?

Once you've copied the file from the CD, right-click on it and look at the
properties. Uncheck the Read-only box.

Probably using different utils to write/read the CD/RW at home and in the
office. Only one-way compatible?

Right-click, select Properties, and uncheck Read-Only.

Copy software / operating systems (e.g., something other than Access) marks
files on CD-R as Read-Only and nothing changes them back. Some CD recording
software does not distinguish between CD-R and CD-RW for this "feature".
Yours might have some option settings that would affect this property, too.
