You cannot edit bitmap formats within Word. Word editing
features are generally only available for vector based
graphics and even then they are fairly limited.
You can still group items together though as long as they
are floating objects (ie. not inline with text), so you
shouldn't have any problems adding text boxes and
grouping them with existing graphics.
