My wife asked me to install FrontPage 2000 on her PC, as she had
learnt a bit about it one day during a Microsoft Office course.
She then made her webpage, and wanted to upload it.
So when it comes to publish the web, I entered for her
ftp://members.isp.com/~username
Now what it did was create a directory "~username" on the
webserver, under the account "username". So when you try to
open URL
http://members.isp.com/~username
you see the default webpage of the ISP saying this user has
not moved in yet or words to that effect.
Why is FrontPage so stupid?
P.S. isp.com is only an example, that is not really the server.
