I am trying to produce a document that will be commercially printed. I have
high-res EPS files I wish to import and when I introduce them into the
document, just a blank space appears, YET the picture actually prints out.
How can I view the EPS pics on screen<

If an eps file is created without an image header, the image won't
display on screen but will print to a postscript printer. The eps image
would show up on screen if you convert the document to a pdf file.

Most eps files are created with at least a low resolution tif image
header in order to work with them in documents.

In addition to Bob's reply, many times eps images will indeed appear, but at
a reduced screen quality, but it will indeed print properly.
