why is slide show toolbar missing?

I copied a pp presentation to a cd? when i used the cd for a presentation the
slide shoe toolbar was not available and some affects did not copy exactly.

Did you save the presentation as *.ppt or as *.pps? When inserting the CD
which program starts to show the presentation: the viewer or Powerpoint
itself? The viewer may not show every effect in the same way as Powerpoint
will do - especially when you used Powerpoint 2007 to create the
presentation and it is now shown in an older viewer.
