why is the appearance of a chart different in Powerpoint 2003?

When I open a chart in Powerpoint with Office 2003 that was created with an
earlier version, one of the objects (a bar with an arrow at one end) appears
much smaller even though the format object size settings are the same. If I
adjust the size to make the appearance correct then it is giant if I open it
from a computer that does not have Office 2003.

I've never seen anything exactly like what you're describing. But I think if
you right-click the chart, choose Format Object, and set...

hang on a sec.

Yeah, okay, it's there. Read #3 at http://www.echosvoice.com/charts.htm
