why is the image in my signature not appearing on replies

A

APYDS

I have created a signature in outlook 2007 using the outlook signature and
stationary window and included in that signature our company logo in the form
of an image.

I have checked in

C:\Documents and Settings\[username]\Application Data\Microsoft\Signatures

and the signature has been saved in RTF, Text and htm format as expected.

Signature works fine when creating a new message but when replying the image
is taken out. How do I stop that from happening?

Any help would be appreciated.

I assume you have the option set to also include that signature upon
forwarding and replying?
Is the picture the only thing that is being left out?
Is the picture located on your local computer or do you link to it in the
HTML source to a location on a web server?

You might want to clear your Outlook's Temp folder and see if it works now.

Yes I have set the option to also include the signature upon forwarding and
replying.

Yes the picture is the only thing that is left out

Picture is located on my local computer and in the signature file as a GIF.

Just worked out that my emails are being sent on reply in rich text format.
If I try to paste the picture into a reply it asks me if I want to send the
email as htm and then it will paste the picture. How do I set it to always
send replies as htm?

I have tried going into the Internet Format window and it is set as send as
html. I have tried changing that just now but it seems to have no effect.

You'll always reply in the same format as the original message.
Open your RTF signature and verify if the picture is there still or reinsert
it if needed.

The picture is in the RTF signature file. The actual dialogue box I get when
I try to paste the pircture is "Microsoft Office Outlook Compatibility
Checker ... Some of the features in this email are not supported by plain
text email ... Picture will be lost". I then gives me the option to Switch
to HTML, Continue or Cancel.

Plain text does not support images and outlook does not allow autoconversion
to HTML or RTF format so you'll need to continue changing the format
yourself or stop worrying about not including the image on every message.

My choice would be to not worry about it - people have reasons for using
plain text, including that the device they use to read mail doesn't support
other formats.
