WHY IS THE OFFICE CLIPBOARD NOT LETTING ME COPY AND PASTE?

When I hit Ctrl + C to Copy, I get an error message that says, "Cannot empty
Office Clipboard." What's this all about?

A short term solution would be goto veiw / toolbars / clipboard, and from
here you should be able to manually empty it.

Log off and restart your computer

Manually emptying the clipboard does not solve the problem. Anyone found a
solution for this problem?
