Why is there no signature on a "Scan to email" message?

Hi, we're running Outlook 2007. When we use the "Scan to email" function on
our printer, a new message opens in Outlook with the picture attached. But
this new message does not have our default signature at the bottom. When we
try to add it, it does not include the company image and the text is an old
computer font.
Any ideas? Thanks

This is because you scanner uses a Simple MAPI command to start a new
message. This will not load all Outlook features (such as signatures) and
often will be in Plain Text format.
