why is there not an RTF add in?

i just want to save my file as rtf in office, but i can't. because it seems
to have not got a .rtf add-in. please help me out.

Well since RTF or Rich Text Format is a text document format it would be
readily available in Word and is, in fact, available in the SaveAs file type
drop down list in Word 3 - 2007 for the PC. Also available for the Mac
Word.

If you are trying a different program in Office you would be out of luck.
