Why isn't Bookshelf integrated with Office any more?

Hi!

Unlike previous versions, why has Bookshelf been discontinued from office
2000 onwards? Besides, what can I do to procure the latest Bookshelf version
to integrate with MS Office 2003?

There is no more Bookshelf. There is now Encarta.
