Why isn't preview the same as design sometimes in front page?

M

Mark Fitzpatrick

Preview mode is done through the browser itself. Design is simply a look at
what the HTML design should or could look like. The browser, however, has
it's own take on things sometimes. The Preview mode is simply an embedded
Internet Explorer browser so it may have things that appear different
slightly. It's kind of like the difference between setting up a scene for a
photo and what the actual photo may look like. This issue is pretty much the
same with every editor on the market, the canvas doesn't always end up
exactly like we design when looked at through the browser.

Hope this helps,

Are you talking about the Preview Tab or File Menu | Preview in Browser?

Preview Tab is not a full browser, it is just a quick preview of how the page might look when
displayed in a browser.

You need to view your pages in the browsers you expect to visit your site.
