Hi,

Why it's not recommended to use master project with
subprojects on project server 2002 ?

Hi Mario,

You will find that creating master/sub projects is a very complex task to
get the data you need. For example, you should be tying those projects
together using predecessors/successors... Also, multiple people trying to
edit projects while another person has them checked out will cause confusion
and make it difficult to manage.

Just a few reasons...

In addition to what Bill stated, publishing a master project to the Project
Server database will DOUBLE all of your resource assignments found in each
of the subprojects. Not a nice thing, indeed!
