Why no BeforeOpenProject event?

Why is there no BeforeProjectOpen event in the MSProject object model?
I need this event in an add-in; is there another event that I can
use?

Can the developers of this product be that stupid as to not have this
event at all?

Before the project is open: it's closed! In Project there is no partially
open event. Once a project is open it's open (all data read into memory
ready to be used).

What are you trying to achieve? There is usually a way to do what you want.

Damn man, are you dense? It is an event that let's you do things
BEFORE a project is opened.
Take a look at the Word or Excel event models, they have them, why is
Project the ugly step sister
with no rhyme or reason the their object model?

Maybe MS should re-architect all the Office object models to be more
consistent with each other, then
developers wouldn't have such a hard time developing for Office.
