Why not allow calls and tasks on the Calender?

This seems to set your day up. I need to see calls, opportunities and tasks
on the calender. I know that tasks come up on the side, so what. If I have
to schedule anything with a date, duration and completion, it should be on
the calender. Look at ACT!

So why not schedule it as an appointment in the calendar and link it to the
appropriate contact. Once the time comes, open the appointment where you can
then open the corresponding contact and then initiate a call log, task,
whatever.

I can but what is the point. I am trying to make a better product. If you
have a calls button, it should work as such and put it in the schedule. I
agree that you are smart enough to get around the problem. Why not solve the
problem and do it right.

BCM is an extension of Outlook. Outlook has always used the convention that
the calendar contains appointments, tasks contains tasks, etc. You can move
each of these around by dragging and dropping or using the move to tool.

I'm not sure what you mean by a "calls button". If you mean phone log, then
I believe this was meant to be created and completed at the time it actually
occurs. From what I can see, the phone log is a modification to Outlook's
journal - which worked the same way.

I actually wrote an Excel macro to import my phone calls from T-mobile's CSV
call records into calendar so I can mark them billable easily to export to
SBA. I agree that there should be an option to make calls show up on
calendar, for those of us who do phone billing. I have (3) calendars as part
of my billing system. :)
