why only 32 ?

Mike

I just bought MS Office 2007 to compliment
my new 64 bit computer with the new and
wonderful Vista 64 bit operating system.

Have I missed something, or is Office 2007 only a
32 bit program ? Why would it only be offered in 32 bit ?
From what I understand, Mac's new operating system
due out in a month or two will be 64 bit all the way.
including all it's bundled programs. ( I think they call it leopard )

I thought Microsoft was embracing 64 bit also.
So why a new rollout of it office suites in 32 bit only ?

If I am mistaken, please correct me, but I have looked
everywhere I can, but see no indication of 64 bit.

Please help me to understand the answer
Thanks Mike

I doubt Mac 64 bit will be bundled with a 64bit Office app

What do you think you will gain with a 64bit Office App?
At the moment there are very few apps that will take advantage of Dual core,
let alone 64bit

It is only 32 bit. In fact, there are certain things that won't work in
a 64 bit OS, e.g. the Send To OneNote 2007 printer driver.
