Why Outlook/Word can not do corrections like Google "did you mean"

Richard

When you can even come close to spelling a word.... WORD cant help. But you
type the same ridiculous guess of the word in Google search and "wa-la" or in
fact VOILA which is what you get when you put wa la in Google, Word.....
forget it.

Or if you type "barmitzva" Words got nothing, Google UHHH "Did you mean:
bar mitzvah"

Come on, stop with all the petty enhancements that NO ONE cares about and
make it work for normal people.... that cant spell.

Just remember that Google has the benefits of their powerful servers for
doing this type of matching algorythm. I seriously doubt that most pc's will
have the same processing power and therein lies some of the problem. It
isn't necessarily that it can't be done, but can it be done with the lowest
level of hardware that Word is set to run on. I doubt many people would be
all that excited to have to go purchase the latest equipment with 4 to 8 GB
of RAM to just be able to use Word without it taking forever for a spell
check.

Just a thought...

Not everyone wants their applications "reaching out" to the web for simple usage issues. And not everyone is connected 24x7.
