Why scanner uses OE when default mail client is Outlook??

Hi,
Just wondering if I can change this.
My default mail client is Outlook, but whenever I send an
e-mail from external hardware (eg. scanner or digital
camera) it uses outlook express.
How can I get everything to use Outlook?

The only reason I care, is so that my sent items are all
in one place.
