why will ms share point not auth after sp1 for win serv 2003

After installing SP1 for Windows 2003 server enterprise i cannot authenticate
to share point new or old shares.

that iste is asking me to pay and i am not going to pay to fix a peoblem that
was caused by an update that ms published!
