Okay. I FINALLY got my website all FTP'ed to my host. I sure wish I could
have published it fully with FP, but for some reason it just ain't gonna
happen! The problem is definately with my hosting service (GoDaddy).
Now that my website is working and available on the web I thought I would
wipe out ALL REMNANTS of the website from my PC (Yes I do have a back-up copy
on CD just in case) and then import my live website back into FrontPage.
One problem I'm having is very similar to the previous problems I had when
trying to publish... the connection just dies between the server and my PC.
For some reason though Microsoft decided it was not important to provide a
"No to All" button when importing a live website into FrontPage!
When the import process stalls out the only thing I can do is select cancel
and then attempt to import the site again by starting the import process all
over from the beginning. When I do this I'm only given four choices when it
comes to replacing files which have already been successfully downloaded.
I'm prompted with the following:
This web already contains a document called 'file:///C:/Documents and
Settings/blah/blah/blah/blah/filename.extention
Would you like to replace the existing file?
Yes Yes to All No Cancel
Why aren't we given a "No to All" choice!? All I want to do is download the
files which didn't get caprured during the initial import process.
I have thousands upon thousands of files on my website and I don't want to
have to sit here and hit "No" 15,000 times just so I can get to those last
5000 files it hasn't downloaded yet.
Suggestions?
