Why won't my pictures insert into PowerPoint?

I keep trying to insert pictures into Power Point and all I get is a square
with a little "x" in the upper left corner. This only happens with pictures
I take with my Nikon(6mp) camera, not the Sony (3mp). HELP! :)

What is the file format (extension) that you are attempting
to insert? If the Nikon camera is a strange output format
you may not have the correct graphic converter installed.

You may have to rerun setup and choose all the graphic
converters in the setup to allow you to insert the graphic.
IIRC, PCX, PNG, and a few others are NOT normally installed
when Office is installed with its default setup.

If the file format from the Nikon camera is not in the list
of formats supported by the Insert/Picture from file list
you will need to convert the format into something PPT can
"read" by using the software that was supplied with the
camera.
