Why won't Spellcheck correct "HPERCHONDRIAK"?

Purposely entered misspelling into email.

Message "Text marked 'Do not check spelling or grammar' was skipped"

I do not activate this instruction; I checked in "Language, Set Language" &n
it is not selected. This refusal to offer correction occurs often. For a
while the program was using a foreign language, but I never asked to do so.

Well there's a thing...
I use MS Office 2000, try typing in lower case and you'll ge
hypochondriac & hypochondria.... works ok for me

UNcheck "Ignore words in uppercase" in Options, Spelling. Consider using
the installed Help system for information about the programs you use.
