When I select Record macro from toolbar the "record macro" button does not
pop up in my worksheet. Does anyone knows why?

If you ever clicked the "x" in the Stop Recording toolbar that would explain
it (don't do that). You should go into View, Toolbars, Customize and select
the Stop Recording toolbar. Then record a simple macro and the click the
Stop Recording button on the Stop Recording toolbar. It should then
disappear; and reappear on its own when you record your next macro.
