why's word 2003 loading office 2000 sr-1 when i create graph

When I do certain things like try and create a graph in Word 2003 (I have the
MS Office 2003 Pro Upgrade) I receive a splash screen saying preparing to
install Microsoft Office 2000 SR-1 and it request Office 2000 disk 2.
This does not seem right so I cancel, and after a number of
cancellations of the persistent loading splash screen, the graph comes up.
Should I go ahead and let it load office 2000 SR-1 from my old office
disk (disk 2).

When you installed Office 2003 (upgrade), did you select to retain the
old version or did you select to remove it completely? Office 2003
normally gves you this option at the time of installation.

If you are not likely to use Office 2000 then you could remove it
completely from the system so that the systems configuration files only
sees Office 2003.

I am using Office XP and Office 2003 from the same system and I also get
the same installation prompts when I have used Office XP and later
during the day I may want to use Office 2003. This is when the system
gets confused.
