Wierd Problem

i have a subform based on a query the subform has a text field to generate
the Total money made so far using Sum. this generates the correct total.
the wierd part is that the total only displays in the sub form when i hover
the mouse over the subform, the total stays there when i remove the mouse but
if i refresh the form i have to move the mouse pointer over the subform again
to display the total, i have looked in the properties but cannot find
anything to change this. can anyone help
