Will MSDE on MS Server 2003 support Project Server 2003?

I have a system in my lab running MS Server 2003 Std and WSS. WSS installed
the Microsoft SQL Desktop Edition and thus did not require a full blown SQL
2000 install.

My question... Is MSDE sufficient to install PS 2003 or will I still need
to install MS SQL 2000?

It's sufficient for very small implementations.
