Will removing office programs delete my saved work?

I want to remove the programs from Microsoft office because I want to reload
Office with Excel (which I do not currently have). The disc will not allow
me to load just Excel while I already have this version of Office2000 on my
computer. Will I be able to remove the Office package and reload it all
without losing all my work?

Yes, but you will be the sad person if you don't have a backup copy of
the work and the drive fails or the worm attacks.
