Win 2000 and Office 2000 with WSS in Project Server 2003

Hi,

Can't figure this out:

Client machine is WIN 2000 with Office 2000. PWA using Windows Auth. All
of WSS funtions work OK except after uploading a document and then pressing
the dreaded "Discuss" command on the pull down menu. If someone does that
(I have told them not to), from then on, every PWA page prompts for an NT
logon. The logon doesn't work for any user and I can't stop it. I have:

- re-booted the client
- Stopped and started all server services and even re-booted the server
- using the same client computer, logged on with a PS authenticated user
with same result
- Note: on same computer, MS Project Pro works fine and can even go to the
documents page without receiving the logon prompt.

I'm sort of hosed and would appreciate any insight into this problem. I
assume some sort of caching of user information somewhere on the client, but
can't find anything that looks promising. All other users are fine (as long
as they don't press "Discuss".

Would love either a fix or a way to remove that menu item from the drop
down. Anyone?

Thanks,

David

Yippee, I found out the answer myself. Well sort of an answer...

If anyone is interested: Pressing the Discuss command left a menu bar at
the bottom of the web page that I didn't notice. If I 'X' out of the
'Discussion' the problem goes away. Silly me.
