Win7 and Acc97

Does anybody know how to get Access97 to run on a 64-bit
system...specifically Windows7. Running in WinXP compatibily mode does
not seem to work. We have tried all types of policy and permission
changes, running as administrator and all we continue to get is an
error message that syays.."Compile error in hidden module:...".

Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.

You have to set the shortcut from which you launch A97 to run as
administrator. See my response just moments ago to Rick Brandt's
answer in the thread "access 97 and access 2010 can't run at win
7?".

wow. why would you use such an old version?

I just think that there's a lot of crackheads out there, practicing
voodoo, etc..

when in reality.. anyone with a clue moved to SQL Server a LONG time
ago

A97 can't even run Access Data Projects, so it would be my last choice
for anything.
