window installer and document opening

JOHFrustration!

ugh! I'm am sooo frustrated... I cannot open any file in
word, excel, etc. When I try... I get a window
with "window's Installer" then I get the following
error message...
Error 1402 - Setup Cannot Open the Registry key
HKEY_CURRENT_USER/SOFTWARE/MICROSOFT/SHAREDTOOLS/PROOFINGT
OOLS/CUSTOMDICTIONARY

Please help!!!!
