Window size on launch

I'm sure this has been addressed, but I can't find a post on it. When I
launch OneNote from the tray, the OneNote window is always, always too small
(it's always the same small size), no matter what size it was when I last
closed it. IOW, I _always_ have to reize the window before working in ON. I
hunted about in Options and Help for likely looking options. In the Registry
I find PositionsInfo-Monitor1, but that's a binary value.

Any thoughts on how to get OneNote to open to a sized I choose?

Mike,
When you open OneNote from the taskbar, you are actually opening a special
instance of OneNote called "SideNote". Yes, it is really OneNote, but it is
defined to do exactly what you don't want it to do. You need to open OneNote
itself to get the windows to stay the size and location you want.

Ways to open OneNote itself? Use the Start menu, put a shortcut on your
desktop, etc. (any of the normal ways to open a program.)

Hi,

From the taskbar you have two options to launch OneNote.

One is the default and opens when you left click on the OneNote icon.
In your case it sounds like "Open New Side Note" is the default.

If you right click on the icon you will see the two options. If you
select Open OneNote then OneNote opens to the size that you used it
last time and to the page you last used.

If you want to change how OneNote opens by default when you left click
the icon, you need to right click the icon and select the Options
menu choice.

I hope that helps.

Yay, thanks (and Kathy too) -- I've set the default launch-click to open
OneNote itself rather than the sidebar and All Is Well.

You guys rock!
