I got a second hand computer with the above mentioned OS. It has an
administrative user log on and password. It will not allow me any
permisssions at all. It will not allow me to change anything or enter dos
commands at startup wht can I do to use this computer is there any hope?

Did you get all of the CDs with that computer? You may have to reformat and
start from scratch.

BTW - never post your unmunged email address in a newsgroup unless you like

Does this mean you dont have the password?

Post to a window2k newsgroup, or search the groups for how to recover from a
lost admin password in win2k
PS there is now real dos in win2k
