Windows 2003 server Remote Desktop Log on issue

I have 4 2003 servers running in my enviornment and they all have the same problem. I thought initially that Remote desktop was not working. But the problem is that the right shift key is not working when i try to log onto (via remote desktop) another 2003 or 2000 server. Has anyone encountered this? Is there a hotfix? any help would be appreciated. thank you.
