Windows 97 to be phased out

Hi I have heard rumours that Windows 97 will be phased out. I have
heard this since 2001. Is there any truth tha Micro Soft is actually
going to phase out Windows 97 and Office 97.?

Windows 97 was never phased in. Office 97 has been out of support for
several years now.
