Windows Address Book error

I am attempting to switch from Outlook Express to Outlook as my primary email
program. But when i attempt to import my data from Express i get this
message: "An error occurred while attempting to open Windows Address Book". I
have reinstalled Outlook and installed all the latest updates with no luck.
Any ideas?
