Windows Authentication on WSS workspaces

Currently using Project Server and taking advantage of the Workspace
functionality offered through Sharepoint. The system is setup to
authenticate to a user's network login.

Issue: When users are prompted to change their network password they lose
access to Sharepoint. They get prompted for a username and password. PWA
opens fine it's the Sharepoint link that doesn't sync up.?

How can I correct this issue and stop it from happening to future users.

How are you fixing it? Are both the Project Server and the WSS Server in the
same domain?

Yes, they are both on the same domain
