Windows can find file

I have write an access project
these are background:
1st: all data of my access is link from other access from different domain
computer
2nd:I use Norton Antivirus
3nd:normally I can open it

The probelm is
Sometimes,I open the program It show the warning:
"Windows can't find the file h:\......\report.mdb.please check the name and
try again.If u need search........"(sorry for my poor english,and I translate
it from chinese)

When I search solution,someone say that access (mdb) file is compacted.When
it is opened.This will be checked by antivirus.when it is opened.it is pop
message that the file can't be found.

Would anyone kindly tell me the truth and please tell me how to solve?

It's true. The solution (that I use anyway) is to open Norton Anti-Virus.
Click Options for anti-virus and expand the node that says "Auto-Protect".
Under "Exclusions" click New and type in *.mdb and click OK. If you're
really paranoid then you could also browse to your specific database file
and exclude just that.
