Windows Desktop Search duplication after message is moved

I am running Windows Desktop Search in Windows XP. I use Outlook 2007. I have
a large number of rules defined to place messages in various folders. The end
result is the duplication of WDS indexing following the application of a move
rule. WDS shows the message twice, once in the inbox where it no longer
exists and again in the folder to which it is moved.

I decided to try XOBNI for my email and found it seems to work quite well. I
then disabled Outlook in the WDS options and reindexed. Outlook keeps being
indexed by WDS, even though it is disabld in the WDS options, with the same
resulting dupes. There are no dupes in XOBNI.

Any suggestions or thoughts? Is XOBNI a good email search app? Do I need to
totally disable and/or uninstall WDS? Incidently, WDS seems to index my email
even when I snooze it.

Did you use the option to Rebuild the index?

As for which search to use - if xobni meets your needs, use it. did you
exclude outlook in control panel, indexing options?

I did rebuild the index after I excluded outlook in the control panel
indexing options. Everytime I open Outlook this option seems to change back
to include. Outlook takes at least 30 seconds to open, and it occasionally
shuts down or locks up.

I installed xobni to try to find something that didn't create duplicate
index entries. This seems to have worked. So far I am pleased, but I am still
open to other options. WDS still creates dupes.
